Rachel Rai Henry is a dynamic speaker and creativity expert. Born and raised in Detroit, her vibrant spirit, both on and off stage, embodies the glory, grind, and grit of her hometown.
She helps agencies, businesses, and communities use creative thinking to foster leadership, promote innovation and create a more equitable future for all. A seasoned creative thinking and innovation facilitator with over a decade of project management experience, Rachel has dedicated her career to creating frameworks that help heart-centered people & organizations connect the dots and solve meaningful problems we face today.
Throughout her career, Rachel has worked with renowned organizations such as Columbia College, Alpha Kappa Alpha, National Black MBA Association, and Women of Project Management, reaching thousands of people through keynotes and interactive workshops.
She is also the founder and CEO of the Creative Flow School, the premier peer-to-peer skills exchange platform designed to help future leaders foster creative genius to create the life they envision. When she’s not working, Rachel is passionate about hosting soulful events for family and friends, practicing yoga, wandering across the world with her passport in hand, and whipping up magic in the kitchen every chance she gets!

Here’s the short & sweet version of my deeply-rooted story.

My parents, grandparents, & the glory, grind, and grit of Detroit

Music & Motown. For those from the D or who know our rich history, the two are interchangeable. Growing up in the heart of Motown, I learned early on that music was a powerful form of self-expression. And what beautiful art it was! In fact, it’s intricately woven into my family line. My cousin, Florence Ballard, was a founding member of The Supremes, and my great-grandmother went to school with one of the R&B greats, Jackie Wilson.
It wasn’t long before my creativity came alive. I penned original songs and poems to paper, performing and sharing my passion with others. Today, I’m a dope songwriter with future fire hits under my belt (stay tuned!).

I hold…a BA in Psychology.
I have…12+ years of creative project management experience under my belt. Not to mention, almost eight years of experience running a successful brand consulting firm, SunRai Consulting Group.
I have helped…a multitude of clients increase their clarity, confidence, capacity, and cash flow (I’m talking hundreds of thousands of dollars in contracts and partnerships!).
I am…a natural-born creative dedicated to making a positive impact, giving back, and empowering others to lead with creativity.
When you identify and walk in your purpose and passion, you open yourself up to unbelievable possibilities that make a difference. You also inspire and influence others to do the same. It’s a cycle of impact. We need more creative leaders who aren’t afraid to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.
Truthfully, every stop in my journey was necessary for me to arrive where I am today. I wouldn’t do the heartfelt work I do if I didn’t experience uncertainty, rejection, criticism, and unfulfillment. I wanted to be…

Creative Flow School is my love letter to leaders seeking a place in this world where they can create and exist authentically and wholly. An environment that says it’s OK if you’re “walking to the beat of your own drum.”
