A Hidden Gem for Impact-Centered Creators

If you've ever asked a question on Google then chances are you've seen links to responses hosted on Quora.com.

Last month I had the pleasure of being invited to join Quora sessions: private communities curated by the platform hosting expert-led conversations on topics such as business, entrepreneurship, society & culture, education, and more.

If you aren’t familiar with Quora, it's the #1 Q&A site on the internet with over 400,000 topics available for users to inquire about and help each other with informed answers.

As a content creator, perhaps you are also looking for more ways to expand your brand’s reach, but you just aren’t on Quora yet. I’ll let you in on my experience and understanding of why being active on Quora is more important than you may think!

With the help of the Quora team, I've been able to create my profile and share mentorship that gets SEEN. I created my profile at the end of September and have since then been provided 6 high-value responses generating a reach of 2.1k English readers. I also have the pleasure of supporting the team on Quora Espanol, answering questions, and engaging an audience internationally with the help of my bilingual colleague.

One of the first questions I had the pleasure of answering allowed me to share some of my tips and best practices for starting a business at only 17 years old. You can check out the post here.

One of my absolute favorite things about Quora is that it allows me and other creators to not only share the knowledge we hold regarding certain subjects but also encourages us to talk about our lived experience within that field. It brings me great joy to take the time to give valuable information that I’ve learned throughout my career to those who need it most and are seeking answers.

Quora Sessions helps people who may not otherwise be able to afford high-level coaching and consulting and can look at responses from hand-selected experts for guidance. In 2018, it was reported that the website was visited by 300 million users a month - meaning lots of people are ready to receive genuine guidance.

As a Quora contributor, the community that I wish to impact the most are two of Quora's top demographic cohorts: Millennials and Gen Z. And with an ever-growing community of 58,780,353 + followers on the topic of Business, it’s my hope that I’ll be able to connect with young entrepreneurs to help them along their business journeys.

Creating impact isn’t just about likes and follows, but is more about reaching the people who need you the most by providing real value and leaving an ever-lasting impression on them. I’m excited to be able to touch more lives through mentorship on the platform Quora. Thank you, Quora for inviting me and even more for amplifying my voice as a black, female, millennial creator and entrepreneur.
